PANZERFUNERAL is a private journal about metal — about records, about individual tracks, and above all about the lyrics. About what bands have been singing for fifty years: plague, war, god and his absence.

No claim to completeness, no editorial board, no schedule. When a subject catches my attention, I count it up and write it down.

On the lyrics

Lyrics are only ever quoted here, never reproduced in full — single lines within critical discussion, as § 51 of the German Copyright Act permits. No music is hosted here; it is embedded through the official players of YouTube, Spotify and Bandcamp. All rights remain with the authors, publishers and labels.
